Cooper's New Words!

I know I have expressed my concerns with some of you about Cooper not talking as much as Caroline did at this age. He just jabbers and has conversations with us, but you can't comprehend mostly any of this words. You can understand the usual words like Mommy, Daddy, Sissy, car, train, dog, cat, etc. He still hasn't grasped his colors yet. Everything is green.

Well, good news! I don't know if it is because he started his new 2 year old class last week, but he is really starting to say alot more words! I am most excited about him saying two things. He is now using his manners and says "Thank you" and his first complete sentence - "I got it". Very exciting! (Well, at least for me.) Hopefully, this is a good sign and I will probably hate myself later for wishing this upon myself.

Today is my oldest nephew, Blake's 19th Birthday!!! That is scary to think about for me. I can only imagine what Lana is going through. I was a freshman in high school when he was born. Damn, I am getting old!

Anyways, Happy Birthday Blakester! Congrats on making it through your first year of college!

Since Cooper is turning 2 on Friday, we decided to celebrate his birthday while we were at the beach. He loved all of his Thomas the Train presents and the Elmo wrapping paper.

We just got back from our beach trip with our friends, Scooter and Amy, and their daughter, Hana. The kids had a wonderful time! I think the adults need a few more days to recooperate though. Cooper wouldn't stay out of the water this trip. He loved playing in the water this time and wasn't scared as before. Caroline was an angel helping with Cooper and Hana.

Gram and Grand-Bob came over today to give Cooper his birthday presents early. (Cooper's birthday is not until August 17th, but they are leaving this week for a month-long trip.) Cooper got lots of trains and a Story Reader.

North Carolina Zoo Trip

I am not sure if the kids or the adults had more fun today. Caroline and Cooper absolutely loved the zoo. Pop, Pat-Pat and I just as much fun watching the smiles on their faces. Life is good.

Trip to the Dentist

Field Trip!

My Dad and Pat-Pat wanted to take me and and the kids to the NC Zoo on Saturday. Caroline is super-excited. (I am just not sure if it is because she will see Pat-Pat or that she is going to the zoo!) I think Cooper will love it, too. Too bad Thomas the Train can't make his appearance at the zoo! I will post pictures when we get back!
