Caroline's Birthday Party

Caroline had her 6th Birthday party at the YWCA Aquatic Center this past Friday. She had her party there last year also and it was a big hit. You just can't beat a good swim party!
Caroline wanted a Littlest Pet Shop cake. A friend at work took a picture that I gave her and made these great pets!
Cooper was in hog heaven with M&M's, cake and a bunch of girls!

Today's Events

Today, I went with Caroline's class and all of the other kindergarden classes to Sciworks. It seemed like the kids had a great time. I took some pictures of the girls along the way. They were so cute together! Caroline has been really lucky to have a great class this year!

Later tonight, Cooper had soccer practice. He is really getting into kicking the ball compared to a few months ago during indoor soccer. He won't wear his soccer cleats, but just keep thinking baby steps.... Boy, that child is a stubborn little bug!

Little Miss Attitude

I am not proud of this, but thought ya'll would like to know how my 6 year old is acting like. We better nip this in the bud before she becomes a teenager or we are in trouble!

I found this on my desk after one of her fits of bratiness. Caroline is HORRIBLE at cleaning up after herself and keeping her room clean. I have to threaten alot and that doesn't seem to work much these days. The only thing that gets her attention is when I unplug her TV and won't plug it back in until her room is clean again.
Anyone have any suggestions?

Our Trip to Asheville

My cousin, Eddie, got married this weekend! My family and I were invited to his wedding in Asheville. It was a really fun weekend spending time with the hubby and my family. The wedding and weather was beautful! My in-laws were nice enough to keep the kids while we had some adult time. The wedding happened to be on Caroline's 6th birthday so we toyed bringing the kids with us. I know, I know... I felt bad but knew she would also have fun at her Gram and Grand-Bob's house. We spoiled her rotten the entire week and let her open one present everyday last week.

My Baby Girl Turned 6!

Saturday was Caroline's 6th Birthday! We are so proud of her! It is hard to believe how big and grown up she is getting. I know all parents say, "It seems like just yesterday that we brought her home from the hospital...", but it is soo true! It really seems like just yesterday! So, I pulled out some old pictures of Caroline and reminisced a little bit.

Happy Easter!

I hope all of you had a Happy Easter! We had a great weekend at home with the kids. Each year they grow makes each holiday more meaningful. I just love seeing everything through their eyes!

9:00 am and they are already wired from candy. Looks like Caroline takes after me in the morning.

The Easter Bunny had to get inventive with his gifts besides candy. Thank goodness he shops at the Dollar Store!

Freeze, sucka!

Cooper was cold after the early morning egg hunt. He wanted inside to open his eggs.

Caroline even found an egg in the mailbox!

I took this of Cooper after his Easter party at school. He was so proud of his hat! He was posing in between the crepe myrtle until he saw an ant. He was out of there!
Caroline looked so beautiful at church. We curled her hair and she matched from head to toe (besides that camo purse she snuck to church).

So proud!
After church, we went to lunch. I caught this cute picture of Scott helping Cooper write his name.

HUMC Easter Egg Hunt

We made brownies the day before to take to church. I am surprised that we had any left after the kids helped me make them!

They needed a bath after this project!

Cooper was more interested in the real bunnies!

Easter Egg Hunt #1

We have been very busy celebrating Easter in the past few weeks. The kids have had so much fun finding Easter Eggs and eating lots of candy. Our neighborhood was the first of the eggs hunt for the season. Cooper was hilarious finding eggs!

Daddy and Cooper enjoying the rewards of finding eggs. Cooper couldn't wait to dig in.
