Caroline's Birthday Party

Caroline had her birthday party at the YWCA Gateway Aquatics Center. It turned out to be a great place for the kids to play, swim and eat cake! They all had a blast and we are all pooped.

Jose and Bandit

I haven't mentioned Bandit's health on my blog recently because I didn't want to jinx it. Back in November, he spent a week at the vet and was on the brink of being put to sleep. We brought him home from the vet in hopes to spend just a few more days with him. As luck/fate has it, Bandit may still have a tumor but he is as chipper as ever.

Below is Bandit giving our lab, Jose, an earful. For a small dog, Bandit is not scared!

Pam, notice the nice "tracks" in our yard!. It was much worse this winter before the grass began to grow!

Birthday Visit

Pop and Pat-Pat met us for dinner on Monday to celebrate Caroline's birthday. Can you tell Caroline loves Pat-Pat just a little?

Playing Possum

The kids climbed up on Scott's lap today. I took the opportunity to get my camera out and snap a picture of them together. They decided to play possum with me.

Cooper's (Semi) Big-Boy Bed

Cooper used to be a great sleeper! We would put him to bed around 8:30 without a peep and he would sleep soundly until we woke him up for school. However, since Cooper saw Caroline climb out of his crib a few weeks ago, we haven't gotten a sound night of sleep since. Since Cooper has mastered the art of climbing out of the crib, he comes to us in all hours of the night for different reasons - he's gotta go potty or he's scared - you name it. He has also learned how to undress himself and change clothes five times/day, so sometimes he comes to us in the middle of the night naked. You just never know with him.

I posted a comment on my friend, Stephanie's, blog a few months ago. She put her two year old twins in big boy beds. I laughed and swore that I wouldn't take Cooper out of his crib until he was about 10. Well, I have to take back my comment. Cooper's crib is no more. We were scared he would hurt himself climbing in and out of the crib. So, he moved up to a toddler bed today. He liked it so much that he wouldn't take a nap this afternoon and just wanted to play. I really hope this is short-lived. We really enjoyed our hour or so break on the weekends.

Anyways, I took a picture of him tonight after we relented and (finally!) went to bed. He looked so cute sleeping. I am so looking forward to his next venture into our bedroom!

Visiting Gram & Bi-Bob

We visited Gram and Grand-Bob while we were in town. Caroline couldn't wait to tear into the make-up that Amy gave her for her birthday. (Thanks once again, Amy!) I went ahead and painted her fingernails for her after she had issues with the lipstick. Notice the great lipwork Caroline did on her lips. (Caroline said that tissue that she used to take off her lipstick "didn't work".) Nonetheless, the smile on her face was all worth it.

Cooper likes to hang out in Grand-Bob's chair whenever he can. He eyes the chair like an eagle waiting for Grand-Bob to get up.

More Pictures from the Birthday Celebrations

Scott and I brought cupcakes and snacks to Caroline's class on her birthday. I don't think they needed the extra sugar though? Cooper's class was having snack at the same time, so he got to join in on the birthday celebration. (My camera died before I got a lot of pictures.)
After Cooper shoved a mouthful of Cheese Puff in his mouth.

On Saturday morning, we headed to Morganton for Hana's Circus-Themed Birthday Party! The kids had a ball and were really wired after cotton candy, ice cream, cake and circus peanuts. Thanks Amy, I know where you live.

HAPPY 5TH BIRTHDAY SWEET CAROLINE!

It seems like just yesterday that I was preparing/begging/ for Caroline's birth. She was due April 6th, but took her sweet little time to meet us. Thank goodness, the doctor took me out of my misery and scheduled a c-section. She was the perfect little (er, big) 9 lb 13 oz baby girl.
At 5, she is already teaching me things. She taught me 3 bible verses tonight and can sing the cutest rap to "Amazing Grace". Scott and I could not be anymore proud of her.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CAROLINE!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SALLY AND HANA!

April 18th is a very special day! There are 4 people that I know that share a special birthday together. Sally and her mother, "Tony G", have the same birthday.

I thought Sally and Mary would appreciate a pre-pregnancy pic of themselves! This is a picture of me post-pregnancy and pre-brace face.

It is also HANA's 2nd Birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY! We will see you on Saturday!

My Visit with Charlie, and Sally, and Tim!

I finally was able to make my trip to Athens to visit Baby Charlie! She is precious and is thriving under the care of Sally and Tim. She is only three months old and is already sleeping through the night - 9 hours at that!

Thank you for my WONDERFUL husband for watching the kids this weekend while I had a little getaway.

I even got a chance to meet for lunch with one of my great college friend's, Carri! Carri is 7 months pregnant (looks great) with a baby girl. I have missed this girl!

At the Car Wash

On our way home from Hickory, we stopped to get gas. Unfortunately, the automatic stop on the pump did not work so it ended up all over my car. Conveniently, the gas station had a car wash. I had a feeling Cooper would freak out during the car wash. Luckily for us, we caught his reaction on film. Priceless!
Where are we going?
Why is it raining in here?
I am not getting warm fuzzies in here!
I am about to loose it!
You just had to bring me in here!

Davis' Birthday Party

We went to Hickory today for Davis' birthday party. The kids had a blast in the Tiger Bounce House. We were all worn out when we got home! Happy Birthday Davis! We had fun!

What a day!

I got off work earlier than usual today - feeling a little daring and crazy. So, I decided to take Cooper on a little trip. I had a plan - what I thought was a good plan. I loaded up a Thomas video on my I-Touch, bought a bag of his favorite M&M's, buttered him up at the toy store beforehand promising anything he wanted in exchange for:

A HAIRCUT!!!!!

Needless to say, I walked away with hair in every crevice of my body, M&M slobber all over me and a great need for a few adult beverages. The boy was NOT happy! To put it mildly, we didn't go to the toy store afterwards.
