See ya later Tooth #2

Caroline lost her 2nd tooth on Thanksgiving Eve. So far, she has lost both teeth when we were NOT at home. The tooth fairy has to really follow her around to make sure she gets her surprise! This tooth has been dangling for weeks! Below is the picture that she took of herself after it fell out. As you can see, her replacement tooth is already visible.

Our Week in Review

It has been a crazy, great, fun, tiring week. I have been in a cleaning and organizing mood lately, so I haven't spent too much time at my computer this weekend. I thought I would do one big post of this week's events.

On Tuesday, Pop (Caroline now calls him Poppy) and Pat-Pat came to our neck of the woods and met us for dinner at our usual Mexican joint.

On Friday, I got my hair cut and finally said goodbye to my highlights. I am officially my natural haircolor, which is pretty darn dark! I don't think Scott has ever known me with dark hair.

On Saturday morning, we woke up and went to the YMCA. I accomplished something that I never thought I would be able to do. I ran for 45 straight minutes!!! No stopping, walking, throwing up, just running around the track for 45 straight friggin minutes. I recently talked myself into signing up for the Mistletoe 5k in December with a few friends and wasn't too sure I could pull it off. Granted I wasn't running up and down hills in the cold, but I think I can do it now!

After that, the kids and I went to the pool for a little swim. Caroline is doing great! I still don't trust her without me being close, but she is smart and rolls over to her back and kicks herself to the side if she is unsure of herself. Such a smart cookie! Cooper is still learning, but I have faith that he will get there.

On Saturday night, we grilled out and watched some college football. The kids were playing basketball inside and figured out how to give themselves boobies with mini-basketballs.

On Sunday morning, I couldn't find my car keys anywhere. Of course, my spare keys were in the locked car, so those did no good! We searched everywhere and finally took another car to church. After we got back, I waved the white flag and called a locksmith assuming that both sets had to be in my car. Once the car was opened, I couldn't find my real set and figured they would show up somewhere. I found them later today in the sink - where else? Duh! Why didn't I look there?

After church, Caroline invited a few friends over to play. Both girls are in her same class and live just down the street from us. They played great together. Cooper was in hog-heaven with all his new friends. I don't think he realized that they came to play with Caroline.

While the girls played, I organized several kitchen cabinets and the pantry. I am in a throw-away mood and have been getting rid of tons of things lately. I think I threw away about 10 water bottles! I have also gotten a bit of an addiction to those big bags that you put pillows and blankets in and vacuum all of the air out. They are awesome! Our hall closet has never looked so good! I wish I would have taken before and after pictures!

Nice Fall Weather

We had a nice relaxing night grilling out while sitting next to the fire. The three boys had a good time hanging out together. Jose is finally calming down enough to be around Cooper without him freaking out.

I thought that I would share something funny that Cooper said last night. We were all watching College Football last night. Lou Holtz came on the TV was commentating about the game during halftime. Cooper looked up at Lou Holtz on the TV and said, "That Grand-Bob?".

Caroline just got her pictures back from school. We've gotten a chuckle out of her fake smile.

It's time for Swim Lessons!

Cooper started swim lessons this week at the Y. We were worried that he wouldn't get into the pool with one of us, but he did great! Thankfully, there were only 3 other children in his class so he got lots of one-on-one attention.

He's never met a stranger. I am sure his conversation went something like, "I am wearing blue. Thomas is blue. You are wearing green. Percy is green."

Happy Halloween from our little goblins!

We had a really great time this Halloween with the kids trick or treating. We live in a great neighborhood with tons of kids, so it was a fun time for both the parents and children to see each other and socialize a bit.



Cooper really "got it" this year. In the past years, he was hesitant going to the doors. This year, we couldn't keep up with him running from one door to the other. He was so cute running in his monkey suit! Toddlers are so cute running anyways - much less in a monkey suit!


This year, we went trick or treating with our friends, Brian and Gina, and their two kids, Jake and Jackson. Caroline and Jake were angels together. They get along really well. Gina and I always joke around that they are like an old married couple. She gives him lip and he gives it right back. They are really cute together.


Caroline was supposed to be Ariel. She looks more like a ghetto Ariel. She wouldn't wear a red wig and since it was cold we had to put a shirt underneath. The tennis shoes really top off the outfit nicely since Ariel ran and all. She's cute anyways!
