My visit with Phillip & Annette
Before I met all of the girls at Amy's house, my friend (and also my sister-in-law's sister-in-law) picked me up at the FLL airport so we can hang out for the day. Unfortunately, her and Phillip had a trip to Costa Rica that same weekend, so she couldn't hang out with us the entire weekend. (I know, the life of a childless care-free couple!)
Girls Weekend
Last weekend, I had the honor of joining some great girls for a Girls Weekend in Florida. Each year, Mary's sister, Amy, invites all of us down to her condo in Pompano Beach, Fl. Since their family is so large, I am usually the only non-related person there. This year, there were 7 sisters, one niece and yours truly! This is the 3rd Annual Girls Weekend and we had a blast! Amy was great at planning our every meal and activity throughout the weekend. Amy, thank you so much for your generosity and hospitality!

The View from Amy & Javier's backporch. I couldn't imagine living there AND working there at the same time. The weather was just too nice.
Home of the Good Year Blimp, too!

I am a glutton for punishment!
Today, Cooper had his 1st soccer game. He had practice this past Wednesday, that didn't go so well. Today was a different story. With a little bribing of Cheetos for good behavior and the enthusiasm for soccer, Cooper paid attention and actually chased and kicked the soccer ball.
When Caroline was at his age, her soccer experience didn't go so well. She was not at all happy about playing soccer. It was a real effort to get her to go to the soccer games. By the end of the season, she came but would not step foot on the field to play.

A job well done! He got his new jersey and was very proud of it!

Happy Birthday to Me!
My birthday was last weekend, and what a great day it was! The weather was absolutely beautiful! I really had one of the best birthdays in a while. It was just one of those days where I felt really loved. (Not that I am deprived or anything.) I got several well-wishing emails, e-cards and some snail mail cards from random family and friends. I was especially surprised by Aunt Jan and my very busy college-going nephew, Blake.
Scott and the kids made me breakfast in bed.
I'm too sexy for this blog...
Caroline's friend, Anna, had a birthday party on my birthday. Her birthday actually is the same day as mine! I only knew two another person with my same birthday before - Caroline's other friend, Faith, and my 3rd grade teacher, Mrs. Walker. Now, I know 4! My high school friend, Jenny, also just gave birth to her first child that day, too!

Caroline and her classmate, Emma.
Later that night, Scott took us out for my birthday to Outback.
Caroline took herself and the kitchen sink with us out to dinner. She got dressed and wore her clip-on earrings and took literally a duffle bag full of crayons and coloring books.

Guess what I got for my birthday?
After we got home, Gina and Brian called on their way home from their date night to see if they could come over and celebrate my birthday. They are always fun to be with! Thanks for the birthday gift!

Snowtubing
We took the kids snowtubing this past weekend. Brooke and Michael met us up there with Drew and Davis. They had a blast. It was priceless to see Caroline and Cooper's face on their first ride down. Cooper's eyes grew so wide. Scott and I looked at each other and were preparing ourselves for a meltdown at the bottom. I believe that he stopped breathing going down. He didn't know what to think. Once we got to the bottom of the hill, he got his breath back and cackled with laughter. He loved being pulled up the lift even more, I think.

Cooper had it made since we pulled him around practically all night
We couldn't keep up with Drew and Davis
