The past few weeks

It has been a crazy few weeks. After I returned from my Girls Weekend in Florida, I came down with a horrible case of the flu. I really was at peace with dying. I felt HORRIBLE! Two days later, Scott caught it so I had to "man up" and watch the kids. It was a rough few days that I would not like to think about again. Good thing - we are feeling much better and the kids did not get sick. I was so scared that they would get sick!! I lysoled their rooms really good and kept them busy in their rooms all weekend. We rented tons of movies and had picnic-style meals in Cooper's room. I felt horrible about couping them up in their rooms, but the kids loved it. Go figure....

On another note, this past week was my last week of boot camp. I had a great time pushing myself and learned alot about what I am capable of. Although I missed last week while I was sick, I only missed a few days over the 8-week camp. I decreased my mile run-time and doubled my push-up counts. There is anothe boot camp starting in April and I am contemplating whether I should do it again. 5:30 am is pretty early!

I also started running with some girls in the neighborhood the past few months. We all have different goals, but wanted to start running on a regular basis. We meet every Sunday morning before church and run usually 3 miles.

Today, we met our first goal together to run our first 5k or 10k together. I decided to run the 5k today since I have been sick. Scott brought the kids and cheered us on at the starting line and met me at the finish line. It was very motivating seeing the finish line with my kids and husband cheering me on.

I ended up running it in 31:45. Not bad, but I would love to eventually hit 30 minutes. This will be my time to beat on my next 5k.

The best part about this is that I have met a wonderful group of girls in the neighborhood.
