Our 2nd day at the beach started out great! We got out on the beach earlier than usual. The kids had a ball digging and playing in the sand. Later, I taught Caroline how to ride the waves in the ocean. She was not scared at all and didn't mind the salt water and sand. Cooper, on the other hand, had issues. He apparently got chaffed pretty bad in the nether regions. Luckily, it was nap time so we went ahead and went inside to lay down. We caked him with powder, so hopefully he will feel a little better in the morning.
They started dropping sand drippings on each other.
Luckily, Caroline is a good sport when Cooper accidentally drops the sand on her face.

Look at that sweet, cute smile on Cooper. I could eat him up!

Me and my girl - best buddies!

We had to have a silly face picture, too!

Our serious, normal family look.

What a GREAT picture of the Bliss family! I am so glad y'all are having a great time.
Leigh: It is so eerie. The first time we took Scott to the beach he did the same thing as Cooper with chaffing. I thought it was his bathing suit, the kind of material and maybe how it fit his body. I don't think that is the case with Cooper though. The old suits were made of a stretchy fabric and kept everything so wet. We coated him in Vasoline and that helped. This is just too too strange that it would happen to Cooper too. Just saw the Blog. Our computer has been in for repairs and has been sick for the last 10 days. Just got it back today. Glad you are having a good time. Judy
Scott said that he thought this happened to him when he was younger, too. That is weird since Cooper has skin more like me. We ended up putting Gold Bond on it and then putting big waterproof bandages.
Did you say "normal"? It really is a good picture.
Jan
Aunt Jan, I guess as "normal" as normal gets in our family! :) Love you!
