We decided to take the kids to the Boone/Blowing Rock area this weekend to enjoy the great fall weather and some of it's attractions. On Saturday, we headed to Grandfather Mountain. Apparently, other people had the same idea in mind. It took us FOREVER to get to the entrance and then drive to the top.
The kids doing their best Panther impression.I swore that I would never be able to walk across this bridge, especially with my kids. But, I did it! Cooper and Caroline were not afraid, so I tried not to show my fear.
Us after we walked across the bridge and took a break
One of the beautiful views from the top
The leaves were really turning
Daddy and the punks
I think the highlight of their day was riding the luggage cart to and from the room.

Beautiful shots! My hands got clammy just looking at that bridge.
Leigh: The bridge is very scary. I seem to remember going across it a long time ago. There is one at Six Flags in Atlanta that is just my size. LOW, LOW, LOW. Judy
