Cooper is officially a BIG BOY!

As if the day couldn't get any worse, we decided to press our luck and take Cooper to get his haircut. It was getting out of control again and we were ready for the fight at the salon.

When we pull into the parking lot, Cooper instantly knew where we were going and already started protesting his impending haircut. He fought us in the car, parking lot and inside the place. Luckily, no one else was getting their hair cut, so we warned the young, naive girls of what they were about to see. We pulled out some of their germ-infested toys and tried to calm him down.
Then, out of nowhere, Cooper just looked up and said, "Mommy, I want to get a haircut". What? Huh? Calling his bluff, I said OK, let's go. He jumped up on my lap and sat calmly and happily while the girl cut his entire hair!!! Scott and I just kept looking at each other in amazement. We are still kind of miffed as to why he had the sudden change of heart, but will happily accept it.

I told Scott that God knew that we could only take so much in one day. I think He had pity on us and threw us a bone today. :)

Caleb has done the same thing before....I'm thinking they have a switch that they can turn it on and off.....Cooper sure is a cutie!

Leigh: Hopefully this is a turning point with his haircuts and yes he thinks this is a big boy thing now. I figured it would not last all his life and Jane use to say that Ryan would not go to school with his pacifier so don't get too too concerned when Liz would lament about him not wanting to give it up. So I thought that adage about the pacifier would hopefully apply for the haircuts too. Judy

Is that Caroline crying in the background? Did she get a haircut too?? Too funny!

I forget what she was crying about? She is in this whining phase, so everything sets her off these days! Dang, hormones!
